Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today launched the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection in North America for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Featuring three complete games, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, this special re-mastered HD set retails at $49.99.

From the critically acclaimed director, Hideo Kojima, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection offers a small group of the more popular Metal Gear Solid titles in the series in HD format. Since the beginning of the series in 1998, the Metal Gear Solid franchise has been wildly successful on any console on which it has been released, gaining worldwide fame and praise for Mr. Kojima. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for the PlayStation 2 has received much praise from many magazines and website, having already been rereleased as Metal Gear Solid: Substance on the Xbox and PC. Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, a prequel to the entire Metal Gear Solid series, followed in 2004. Released in 2010 for the PlayStation Portable, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is the fourth Metal Gear Solid title for the PSP and has garnered several top gaming industry awards and honors.

  1. So I just got my limited Edition in the mail and I’m debating on opening it seeing that its sold out and the price just went up to $150. :/
