Top of the Plops: December 2020

This is the last use of this graphic this year!
It’s number two, it’s Top of the Plops!

Welcome to Top of the Plops, the monthly roundup of The Day Tonight in which staff pick the games they plan on buying in the upcoming month. December holds a long awaited treat in Cyberpunk 2077, assuming it does not get a fourth delay. Are the any of the staff planning on picking it up this month? Read on to find out!

Where is the physical edition?
SaGa is sure to be on many lists for this month.

Caspius: This month I am looking forward to Collection of SaGa, although it will not be available until the 15th instant (until then, I will mostly be playing Xenogears with the occasional break for Valkyria Chronicles). I have the intention of re-playing through all of the SaGa Game Boy and SNES games in order before the Summer 2021 release of SaGa Frontier Remastered, and that plan starts this month with the new collection!

Listing many games makes Imitanis sad.
Finally in physical form on the Switch

SiliconNooB: I have a lot of Switch games coming! I have Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin on the way. I believe I mentioned that one last month, and impressions sound pretty solid. I also have I also have copies of FFIX, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, Root Letter, and Food Girls on the way. Limited Run also claims that my copies of Grandia and Ys Origin should arrive before the end of the year – but I have my doubts. I don’t think I will play Cyberpunk on release, as I’d like to upgrade my GPU beforehand.

Buy games, you can live in your imagination instead!
Ethos will not be playing Immortals this month.

Ethos: With zero dollars to spend lest I miss a rent payment, I will sadly be watching Immortals and Cyberpunk pass me by this holiday season.

100% guaranteed to release on time, as it has been every time.
Cyberpunk is almost here… again!

Imitanis: It may have been delayed three times, but I believe this will be the month I finally play Cyberpunk 2077! Between that and Collection of SaGa I will have plenty to keep me busy over my birthday and Christmas.

Readers, will you be picking up any of these games? What are your picks for December? Let us know in the comments!
