When Lusipurr falls ill with his twice-annual bout of tonsilitis, SiliconNooB and Imitanis Monday vie for the position of podcast host in a showdown to discover who is the most professional of two panelists. Spoiler: they both lose.
It is the new year in Australia when Lusipurr, SiliconNooB, Adeki, and Sebastian reflect upon the worst of 2016. Attempting to foster a sense of optimism for the year 2017, the panelists’ efforts begin well, but quickly go awry thanks to Nintendo.
Forced to play Final Fantasy XV, Lusipurr is more than a little riled-up. When he is joined by SiliconNooB and Sebastian in the wake of the Video Game Awards, his frustration turns to rage directed at bad decisions and the fanboys who support them.
Lusipurr, Sebastian, and SiliconNooB delve into the biggest stories in a week packed with big stories: in a Halloween manoeuvre, Nintendo’s Witch takes flight; Red Dead Redemption 2 promises new and hilarious bugs; and The Last Guardian is finally done.
Because Australians have not yet invented the concept of time, the switch to Daylight Savings Time completely befuddles SiliconNooB, leaving Lusipurr in the lurch. Blitzmage quickly steps into the breach with a dizzying array of non-Cricket news.
Lusipurr, Ethos, SiliconNooB, Blitzmage, and Iliya are momentarily buoyed by report of English Cricket victories, surpassing all expectations. Unfortunately, a run of depressing news is more than enough to misdirect the panelists into the doldrums.
Spoiled for choice, Lusipurr puzzles over whether to play Mega Man Legends, Parasite Eve, Wild Arms, or Xenosaga. SiliconNooB and Imitanis attempt to confound him into playing Xenosaga, but the listeners step in, instead directing Lusipurr to Mega Man.
Lusipurr is joined by SiliconNooB and Mel in an evaluation of England’s continuing poor form with the bat and bad luck with the ball. A rambling trip through the week’s news, and the games of yesteryear, rounds out an extended-length, pre-holiday podcast.
The Legendary Zoltan braves goblins innumerable as he premieres his latest remix from The Secret of Mana, whilst SiliconNooB and KillswitchTool drive Lusipurr to distraction with an overabundance of language not wholly fit for a genteel audience.
Lusipurr has a few gin and tonics and, joined by his even more Australian co-panelist–SiliconNooB–he decides to take the industry to task. The job proving more difficult than intended, Blitzmage is called into the effort, which is mostly a rant.
